12 Problems
You have to keep a dozen of your favorite problems constantly present in your mind, although by and large they will lay in a dormant state. Every time you hear or read a new trick or a new result, test it against each of your twelve problems to see whether it helps. Every once in a while there will be a hit, and people will say, “How did he do it? He must be a genius!” - Richard Feynman
My first exercise and assignment in the Write of Passage course was to come up with my 12 Problems based on the Feynman quote above. As I understand it, these are problems that require constant pursuit. Ones that I might look at and examine frequently. Below are a dozen of my favorite problems:
How do I listen to and follow my intuition more often?
What ways am I sharing myself through my writing?
Where’s the serendipidity?
What questions can I ask to deepen conversations and relationships?
What are you creating?
What’s blocking or impeding progress?
Are you truly challenging yourself?
Am I being honest with myself?
What are you doing today to better build, sustain, and nurture relationships?
How am I becoming a better coach and supporter to those around me?
Am I asking for what I want?
Why is what you’re writing right now compelling?
